The first round of the Rugby's Greatest Rivalry Tour goes to the All Blacks who saw Will Jordan score two tries as New Zealand pulled away from Springboks.

All Blacks Stun Springboks At Ellis Park With Dominant Second Half

New Zealand All Blacks Rugby defeated South Africa Rugby33-16 at Ellis Park, pulling away after the Springboks led 13-12 at halftime. Will Jordan scored twice for the All Blacks, while Josh Moorby, Fabian Holland and Luke Jacobson also crossed the try line.

South Africa’s scrum created early pressure, and Andre Esterhuizen scored after replacing Kurt-Lee Arendse. But the All Blacks seized control after halftime, with Marco van Staden’s late yellow card helping New Zealand put the Test away.

    South Africa leads New Zealand 13-12 at halftime despite the All Blacks producing more attacking volume. New Zealand has 90 passes, 58 carries and four line breaks compared with South Africa’s 51 passes, 42 carries and two breaks. The Springboks, however, have generated 132 post-contact meters to New Zealand’s 101.

    Discipline has been a major difference. New Zealand conceded nine penalties to South Africa’s four, helping the Springboks spend 28 minutes in front compared with eight for the All Blacks.

    Jasper Wiese leads all players with 10 carries, while Paul de Villiers has completed a match-high 12 tackles. Jordie Barrett has been disruptive for New Zealand with four turnovers won.

    The All Blacks have scored two tries to South Africa’s one, but the Springboks have kicked two penalty goals. New Zealand also finished the half strongly, holding 67% of possession over the final 10 minutes, but failed to score during that stretch.
