90. Rónan Kelleher | Hooker | Ireland | Leinster Rugby | URC
Explosive with ball in hand and unusually athletic for a front-row forward, Kelleher, 28, has become one of Ireland's most dangerous hookers.
His acceleration, carrying ability and improving work at the set piece continued to make him a valuable weapon for Leinster and Ireland throughout the 2025-26 season. Returning to full fitness in time for Leinster's URC semifinal, Kelleher again showed why he remains one of the game's premier impact players, whether starting or coming off the bench alongside Dan Sheehan.
89. Zander Fagerson | Tighthead Prop | Scotland | Glasgow Warriors | URC
A cornerstone of Scotland's scrum for nearly a decade, Fagerson, 30, combines tremendous set-piece power with the mobility and handling skills expected of the modern tighthead.
A British & Irish Lion in 2025, he returned to Glasgow following the 2026 Six Nations and resumed his role as one of the Warriors' most influential forwards. His durability, physicality and technical excellence continue to make him one of rugby's premier tighthead props.
88. Fletcher Newell | Tighthead Prop | New Zealand | Crusaders | Super Rugby
Compact, powerful and technically outstanding, Newell, 26, has quietly established himself among New Zealand's most dependable young front-rowers.
Although a minor knee injury interrupted parts of his 2026 Super Rugby campaign, he returned in time to anchor the Crusaders' scrum during the playoffs while remaining firmly in the All Blacks' plans. His consistency at the set piece and improving work around the field suggest his best rugby is still ahead.
87. Wilco Louw | Tighthead Prop | South Africa | DHL Stormers | URC
Few props generate scrum dominance as consistently as Wilco Louw. The 32-year-old powerful tighthead continued to punish opposing looseheads throughout the 2025-26 season with exceptional technique, balance and strength, creating penalties and attacking platforms that fueled one of the URC's top sides.
He helped the Vodacom Bulls to another URC Grand Final appearance, but now he heads to Cape Town to play for the Stormers.
As his defensive workload and carrying influence continue to expand, Louw has evolved into far more than a specialist scrummager, cementing himself among South Africa's most valuable forwards.
86. Tupou Vaa'i | Lock | New Zealand | Chiefs | Super Rugby
Athletic enough to cover the field like a loose forward yet powerful enough to dominate the tight exchanges, Vaa'i has grown into one of New Zealand's premier second-rowers.
Another outstanding campaign with the Chiefs saw him continue to develop as a lineout leader, ball carrier and vice-captain while strengthening his grip on an All Blacks starting role. Still only 26, his combination of mobility and physicality makes him one of the brightest locks in world rugby.
85. Kyle Steyn | Wing | Scotland | Glasgow Warriors| URC
Steyn, 32, blends the finishing instincts of a winger with the awareness and work rate of a midfielder, qualities that have made him both Glasgow's captain and one of Scotland's most dependable outside backs.
Before injury interrupted his 2025-26 season, he scored four Champions Cup pool-stage tries and continued to lead by example throughout Glasgow's campaign. Strong under the high ball, reliable defensively and dangerous in broken play, Steyn consistently influences matches even when opportunities are limited.
84. Jesse Kriel | Centre | South Africa | Yokohama Canon Eagles | JRLO
Resilience and consistency have defined Jesse Kriel's international career. The experienced Springbok center, 32, once again anchored Yokohama Canon Eagles and South Africa's defensive system during the 2025-26 season, combining outstanding positioning with the physicality to stop attacks before they develop.
Often overlooked beside South Africa's bigger personalities, Kriel continues to prove himself one of the most dependable midfield defenders in the international game.
83. Garry Ringrose | Centre | Ireland | Leinster Rugby | URC
Silky in attack and among rugby's smartest defensive organizers, Ringrose, 31, remains one of the game's premier outside centers.
His communication, defensive reads and ability to close space continued to hold Leinster's midfield together throughout another demanding campaign, while his pace and handling still allowed him to capitalize on attacking opportunities, including a try in the Investec Champions Cup Final. With his future secured through 2027-28, Ringrose remains central to both Leinster and Ireland's ambitions.
82. Tom Wright | Fullback | Australia | ACT Brumbies | Super Rugby
One of Australia's most elusive open-field runners, Wright, 29, combines acceleration, footwork and counterattacking instinct to punish even the smallest defensive mistake.
His 2025-26 season centered on returning from the ACL injury suffered during the British & Irish Lions series, and by year's end he had rediscovered the confidence that makes him one of Super Rugby's most dangerous attacking fullbacks. At full fitness, Wright remains capable of changing a match from anywhere on the field.
81. Grant Williams | Scrum-Half | South Africa | Kobe Steelers | JRLO
Lightning quick around the breakdown and fearless in attack, Williams, 30, has developed into one of rugby's most dangerous change-of-pace scrum-halves.
Whether wearing the No. 9 jersey or covering the wing, the South African international continued to threaten defenses throughout the 2025-26 season with crisp service, sharp support lines and explosive acceleration.
Now with the JRLO Champion Kobe Steelers, his ability to instantly raise the tempo of a match makes him one of the Springboks' most valuable attacking weapons.
