The next Rugby World Cup will be in Australia in 2027, but the host cities have yet to be named. The last time Australia hosted the Rugby World Cup (2003), the final was played at Stadium Australia.

The United States has qualified for eight Rugby World Cups but failed to qualify for the 2023 event. 

The United States has won three Rugby World Cup games but has never advanced out of pool play. The team last won a Rugby World Cup game in 2011, beating Russia 13-6.
