The Rugby World Cup will be coming to the United States for the first time in history, as the country becomes the first North American nation to host the Rugby World Cup since the event started in 1987.

The Rugby World Cup is played every four years, and the RWC was played in France in 2023. 

The next Rugby World Cup will be in Australia in 2027, but the host cities have yet to be named. The last time Australia hosted the Rugby World Cup (2003), the final was played at Stadium Australia.

World Rugby recently announced that the Rugby World Cup will expand to 24 teams.

The United States Is Hosting The 2031 Rugby World Cup 

The United States will host the 2031 Rugby World Cup. 

The United States will be the first North American country to host the Rugby World Cup, and the first in either North or South America to do so. The cities where the games will be played have not been announced. 

USA Rugby Will Automatically Qualify For The 2031 Rugby World Cup 

The United States has qualified for eight Rugby World Cups, but the team failed to qualify for the 2023 event. 

The United States has won three Rugby World Cup games but has never advanced out of pool play. The team last won a Rugby World Cup game in 2011, beating Russia 13-6.
