Rugby Recap July 12th 2025

Scotland and Fiji have confirmed their matchday 23s ahead of their July 11 international test at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva, Fiji, where the two sides will meet for the 11th time in their rugby histories.

The match will be streamed live for fans in the United States on July 11 at 11 p.m. ET on FloRugby and the FloSports app.

Fiji coach Mick Byrne has made two changes to the team that faced Australia, bringing in Mesake Doge at tighthead prop and Sireli Maqala at outside center.

Byrne emphasized the importance of matching Scotland’s physicality at the breakdown and welcomed the growing depth in his midfield selections, noting the strength of options like Maqala, Tuisova and Botitu.

Fiji pushed Australia in its first summer test match, before losing 21-18.

Scotland will hand a debut to fly-half Fergus Burke, who qualifies through his Edinburgh-born grandfather. He will link with Jamie Dobie at scrumhalf, while Rory Darge takes over the captaincy from Grant Gilchrist, who starts at lock.

Darcy Graham, Cameron Redpath and Kyle Rowe join a dynamic Scottish back line, with Tom Jordan starting at inside center.

This is the Scot's first summer test match. Scotland hung on to beat the Māori All Blacks in an uncapped match.
