Jordie Barrett, Jack Conan Lift Leinster Rugby To URC Championship

Jack Conan and Jordie Barrett scored a pair of tries in the first 20 minutes, and the Leinster Rugby defense snuffed out all scoring attempts by the Vodacom Bulls.

The Dublin club won the 2025 United Rugby Championship Final 32-7 at Croke Park on June 14.

Leinster Rugby was the best defensive club all season in the URC and Saturday, the club showed it.

The Bulls, the second-best club in the league all season, managed just seven points and were stopped several times as Leinster refused to give up the lead.

Leinster, ranked No. 1 in the FloRugby Club rankings for most of the year, bounce back from its devastating loss in the Investec Champions Cup semifinals in May with a dominant performance against the Bulls.

Offseason additions of Jordie Barrett and RG Snyman paid off for Leinster as Barrett scored one of the best tries of the URC playoffs to put his club up 14-0.

Synman came on in the second half and increased the physicality that Leinster had missed in the second half in previous championship matches.

Why Leinster Rugby Vs. Bulls At Croke Park Matters

Philip Bendon broke down the significance of the URC Grand Final being played at Croke Park in Dublin:

"There are few venues in world sport as steeped in history and symbolism as Croke Park. This Saturday, that weight of heritage will echo once more when Leinster Rugby faces South Africa’s Bulls in the United Rugby Championship final, marking a poignant return of professional club rugby to the sacred grounds of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA)."
