The 2022 champion, France Rugby, is looking to remove the reigning champion Irish rugby team from the top of the podium.

Antoine Dupont, Thomas Ramos and Damian Penaud each have made a huge impact in the Champions Cup season thus far and will be hoping to continue their success back to their home country to regain the championship title.

From seasoned veterans to rising stars, these players represent France's rugby prowess across the world, making their mark in one of the most prestigious competitions in world rugby.

Read about a few of the Champions Cup stars that can help make or break France's chances this year:

Champions Cup Stars Lead The Way On France Rugby Roster In Six Nations 2025

Antoine Dupont - Stade Toulousain

Antoine Dupont is one of the first people that comes to mind when you think of current-day French rugby.

Having grown up and spent his career in the country, success has followed him whenever he is on the pitch.

So far this season with Toulouse, Dupont leads the Investec Champions Cup stats sheet for offloads (18) and carries (77). He's also credited with the fourth-most clean breaks (nine) and meters made (327).

Debuting with the French national team in 2017, Dupont has earned top awards, including the coveted Six Nations Player of the Championships award three times.

Dupont did not attend last year's Six Nations games due to his role on France's sevens team as it targeted the 2024 Olympics, where they went on to earn the gold medal.

Thomas Ramos - Stade Toulousain

Thomas Ramos is considered to be one of the best fullbacks and place-kickers in the world. He is responsible for over a quarter of Toulouse's 225 points so far, earning an impressive 82% kicking success rate and 26 conversions.

Ramos joined the France national team for the first time in their 2019 Six Nations. He solidified his spot for now and into the future since then, earning the top-scorer accolade in the Six Nations tournament for the last two years, putting up 63 in 2024 and 84 in 2023.

Damian Penaud - Union Bordeaux-Begles

Known for his quick thinking and ability to know where to be and when to be there, Damian Penaud undoubtedly will play a critical role in France's success in this year's tournament.

Penaud tallied 50 of UBB's 217 points so far this Champions Cup season and holds the lead spot with a mind-blowing 10 tries - doubling Emmanueal Meafou's five in second place.

He also leads with 15 clean breaks.

In Six Nations play, Penaud was part of the team when France won in 2022, putting up three tries.
