It was a rainy weekend in Southern California and that certainly affected the style of play, Belmont Shore defeated Santa Monica 19-3 in Pacific Rugby Premiership Round 4 action.

The game was moved to Rancho Palos Verdes because of the rain, and perhaps the weather and the venue change made for a few errors. As it was, for the first 25 minutes of the game, the only scoring was Santa Monica flyhalf Shawn Lee's penalty kick.
Veteran Belmont Shore lock ian Carpenter put his side ahead with a try, and Pita Semeane's score right before the break made it 12-3.
It wasn't until the 70th minute that anyone else got on the scoreboard - Belmont Shore No. 8 Keni Nasoqeqe did the honors to seal the game for Shore.
With the victory, Belmont Shore improves to 3-1, while Santa Monica drops to 0-4.
