Life West moved to 2-2 in the Pacific Rugby Premiership with a 55-22 defeat of Olympic Club Saturday in Hayward, CA.

Life West dominated the scoring in the first half, getting tries from scrumhalf Devereaux Ferris, center Josefa Vuatalevu, and hooker Jacob Finau, and with center Guillaume Cazenave converting all three and starting it off with a penalty goal.

O-Club center Josh Tucker scored and converted early in the second half, but the Gladiators were too powerful. No. 8 Siaosi Nonu scored a try to make it 31-7 before Olympic Club wing Bubba Jones went over for two in quick succession.

That made it 31-17 and at that point O-Club might have had thoughts of a comeback with 20 minutes to go. The potential was there even after Life West put away wing Viliami Soakai. Center Michael Haley’s try made it 36-22, but the final ten minutes belonged to Life West, with Simi Hingano, Cazenave, and Soakai putting the game away.

Cazenave notched six conversions, a penalty, and a try for 20 points on his own. Olympic Club drops to 1-3, but did get a bonus point for four tries.
