Two Round 1 winners meet at Ashton Gate when the Bristol Bears host defending Gallagher PREM champion Northampton Saints on Saturday.
Both clubs collected five points on opening weekend, with Northampton entering Round 2 atop the PREM table after a bonus-point victory over Newcastle Red Bulls. Bristol sits fourth after opening its campaign with a win over Sale Sharks.
There is some recent history to this matchup, too. Bristol handed Northampton a 46-12 defeat at Ashton Gate last season before the Saints answered with a 94-33 victory in the return fixture. Northampton went on to finish atop the regular-season table and win the Gallagher PREM title.
