The 2026-27 Top 14 season is young, but one of the biggest matches on the schedule already has arrived.

Stade Toulousain hosts Union Bordeaux Begles on Sunday, Sept. 13, highlighting a seven-match Round 2 slate that will stream live on FloRugby in the United States.

The matchup brings together two French super-powers, each entering the weekend in very different positions.

Bordeaux-Bègles sits atop the Top 14 table after a dominant 64-5 win over Racing 92 in Round 1, while defending champion Toulouse is looking for its first victory after suffering a dramatic 30-27 loss to Stade Rochelais

Before Toulouse and Bordeaux-Bègles close out the weekend, six matches are scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12, including RC Toulonnais hosting La Rochelle and Racing 92 attempting to bounce back against Lyon OU.

Toulouse vs. Bordeaux-Bègles Matchup Headlines Top 14 Round 2

Toulouse vs. Bordeaux-Bègles was already one of the marquee matches of the early Top 14 schedule. The results from Round 1 only added to the intrigue.

The Bordeaux Begles could hardly have asked for a better start to the season.

UBB scored 10 tries in a 64-5 victory over Racing 92, taking a 38-0 lead into halftime and earning an offensive bonus point.

Cameron Woki, Thomas Willis and Louis Bielle-Biarrey each scored twice in the victory as Bordeaux-Bègles finished the opening round atop the Top 14 table with five points.

Toulouse's opener went much differently.

Stade Toulousain appeared to be on its way to a road victory after building a 24-10 halftime lead against Stade Rochelais

Romain Ntamack, Emmanuel Meafou and Tommaso Menoncello each scored first-half tries, while Thomas Ramos added points from the tee.

Then La Rochelle stormed back after halftime.

The hosts erased the deficit and tied the match at 27 before Antoine Hastoy kicked an 80th-minute penalty to complete a 30-27 comeback victory. Toulouse left La Rochelle with a defensive bonus point, but the result puts some added importance on its home opener.

That makes the matchup on Sept. 13 at Stade Ernest-Wallon an early test for both clubs.

Kickoff is scheduled for 3:05 p.m. ET on Sunday.

Toulon vs. La Rochelle Is Another Top 14 Match To Watch

La Rochelle travels to face Toulon at 3 p.m. ET on Saturday, Sept. 12, after producing one of the biggest results of Round 1.

La Rochelle's comeback against Toulouse included 20 second-half points after it trailed 24-10 at halftime. Nolann Le Garrec helped ignite the comeback before Antoine Hastoy scored a converted try to tie the match and later kicked the game-winning penalty.

Toulon enters Round 2 looking for its first win after coming up just short against Bayonne in its opener. Bayonne defeated Toulon 27-26, sending Toulon home with a defensive bonus point.

That gives Saturday's late game another interesting contrast, with La Rochelle trying to build on its comeback victory and Toulon attempting to avoid an 0-2 start.

Racing 92 Looks To Respond After Rough Top 14 Opener

Few teams will enter Round 2 with more motivation than Racing 92.

Bordeaux-Bègles overwhelmed Racing in Round 1, scoring 10 tries and holding Racing to just five points in a 64-5 victory.

Racing gets its first opportunity to respond Saturday when it hosts Lyon at 10:35 a.m. ET.

Lyon enters the matchup following one of Round 1's highest-scoring games. Lyon defeated Clermont 40-36 to begin the season with a victory.
