Springboks Lead All Blacks 24-14 Despite New Zealand’s Attacking Threat

South Africa leads New Zealand 24-14 at halftime after converting its opportunities more efficiently. The Springboks have three tries from 68 carries, with Cobus Reinach leading the match with nine carries and Damian de Allende adding eight.

The All Blacks have looked dangerous with the ball, producing six line breaks to South Africa’s two and 187 post-contact meters to 158. New Zealand has also made 96 passes compared with 59 for the Springboks.

South Africa has been cleaner in key areas. The Springboks have lost only four turnovers compared with New Zealand’s eight and have won all three of their lineouts. The All Blacks are 7-for-9 at the lineout.

Jesse Kriel has scored a try and won two turnovers, while Damian McKenzie leads the match with two line breaks. Ardie Savea has been busy defensively for New Zealand, completing a match-high 11 tackles.
