The Stormers and Munster, deadlocked at the top of the United Rugby Championship table, are set to face off to determine who truly is the top dog.

One month and five rounds into the season, both sides have dominated URC play. They now sit tied at the top with 23 points each and five wins apiece.

On Nov. 29, when club rugby returns from its break for international play, the Stormers will travel to Limerick, Ireland, to take on Munster at Thomond Park. The winner will send a strong message ahead of European Rugby Champions Cup play.

The match begins at 12:30 p.m. ET.

When the table-topping Bulls lost to Ulster in Round 3, the top spot opened up for the Stormers and Munster.

Since then, the Stormers have posted impressive wins, many by large margins. So far this season, they’ve recorded a +118 point differential. Meanwhile, Munster recently defeated its Irish rival Leinster 31-14 at Croke Park.

In their 2024 meeting, the Stormers topped Munster 34-19, but the year prior, Munster edged the Stormers 10-3.

The upcoming clash could go either way—it all depends on who wants it more.
