Stadio Monigo in Treviso hosts a Round 5 United Rugby Championship showdown Saturday, Oct. 25, as Benetton faces South Africa’s DHL Stormers. 

Kickoff is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. ET, live on FloRugby and the FloSports app. 

Referee Hollie Davidson (SRU) will oversee her 23rd league match, assisted by Gianluca Gnecchi and Luca Bisetto, with Andrew McMenemy serving as TMO.

Benetton returns home after a tough loss to Edinburgh and faces another stern test against one of the URC’s most physical sides. 

The Italian club has proven competitive at Stadio Monigo, led by captain Michele Lamaro, playmaker Jacob Umaga, and a dynamic back line featuring Tommaso Menoncello and Louis Lynagh. 

Benetton's challenge will be to match the Stormers’ intensity at the breakdown and handle the pace of the visiting back three.

Head coach Calum MacRae said Benetton must respond with precision and resolve after last week’s defeat.

“Against the Stormers, we’re expecting a major physical challenge,” MacRae said. “They are a team of the highest quality, capable of combining fast-paced play with a very aggressive style of rugby. We must quickly learn from the defeat against Edinburgh to ensure we are ready and well-prepared for next Saturday’s match.”

Stormers Director of Rugby John Dobson said his team understands the difficulty of the trip to Treviso and is focused on maintaining standards through the end of the tour.

“We know just how tough it is to win in Treviso, so it will take a big effort to get the result we need,” Dobson said. “The players coming in are all hungry to make an impression, and we will be giving it everything to finish the tour with another win ahead of the international break.

“There are still a number of areas of our game we would like to improve and this is an opportunity for us to build on the encouraging start we have made to the season.”
