This time, Jose Amalfitani Stadium in Buenos Aires set the backdrop for the mighty battle.

The All Blacks brought reinforcements by the name of Tamaiti Williams and Wallace Sititi, back from injury to join the bench—but in the end, the Argentina Los Pumas made history.

The All Blacks were promoted to the top rank in the world after their win last week, with some help from South Africa's loss to Australia. Argentina secured its spot in hearts of international rugby fans with a first over win New Zealand in Argentina.

Los Pumas Make History, Beat All Blacks On Home Turf For First Time

FINAL SCORE: Argentina Los Pumas 29, New Zealand All Blacks 23

And there it is, after 80 minutes of rugby, Argentina beats the New Zealand All Blacks for the first time as the home team, 29-23.

The All Blacks entered as the No. 1 team in the world, and Los Pumas were faced with the pressure of potential- not only to beat a contender in The Rugby Championship 2025, but to make history with a win over the winningest team in the sport.

The squad secured the win backed by the roar of tens of thousands of fans at Jose Amalfatini Stadium who were there to witness the continued growth of the Argentina national rugby team.

In his 114th test match, Pablo Matera can hold his head high after the work he did to help secure the win as one of the best players in the white and blue.

Santiago Carreras also came through for Los Pumas, sinking three penalties and two conversions.

All Blacks Shown Third Yellow, Argentina Starts Celebration - 72'

Both squads were showing signs of exhaustion as they move up, down and around the entire field.

All Blacks were penalized for being offsides after a line-out. Los Pumas went for the kick and secured the lead.

Los Pumas Sniffing Another Try, But All Blacks Hold - Halftime

The Carreras brothers and Juan Martin Gonzalez really got something going in the last 10 minutes of the half, putting up a shattering play against the All Blacks defense with slick passing and footwork.

After Los Pumas made the push over the line, the All Blacks stopped the ball from touching, barely escaping the onslaught.

On another breakout run by Los Pumas minutes later, with Bautista Delguy stepping up this time and nearly making it to the line—if it weren't for Beauden Barrett racing behind to bust the ball free and put a stop to their tirade.

It's fair to say that the momentum has shifted handily to the home team's direction.

TRY: Juan Martin Gonzalez Forces Ball To Line - '33

After being promoted from the bench this week, Juan Martin Gonzalez scored Los Pumas' first try of the game. Santiago Carreras scored the conversion.

All Blacks down to 13 with Tupou Vaa'i being shown the yellow card.

Argentina Turns Up Pressure, Yellow Card for Will Jordan - '31

Los Pumas started their best attack yet, with a Santiago Carreras cross-field kick to Mateo Carreras, who sped off past the All Blacks 22.

During the chase, Will Jordan was deemed to have blocked Carreras' line after a quick kick downfield. Yellow card for him.

TRY: Fletcher Newell Used Brute Force - 26'

Beauden Barrett and Simon Parker connected before popping the ball to Newell, who steamrolled past the line for the second try of the game and his second test try for the All Blacks. Beauden Barrett missed conversion to the right.

TRY: Billie Proctor Scores Puts Up First All Blacks Try - 20'

The All Blacks were all over the field with speed to earn their first try of the day against Argentina. It was one of their first opportunities to attack of the game—and they delivered.

Beauden Barrett nails his attempt to put the first points up for the All Blacks.

Albornoz has left the field and been replaced by Santiago Carreras, seemingly succumbed to a hand injury for the time being.

Argentina Pulls Off Controlled Start - 5'

After five minutes, Argentina showed up after making early progress down the field, collecting a turnover by the All Blacks.

Unfortunately for Los Pumas, Albornoz suffered an injury to his hand after getting stepped on by a teammate. An offsides call on the All Blacks led to another Albornoz kick for points, he missed this time.

And We're Off, All Blacks vs. Los Pumas Game 2

And the clock is ticking for the first 40 minutes, as the two teams collide in this second Rugby Championship game.

After 90 seconds of play, the two squads came together with some words for each other. The crowd responded positively to the early energy.

Tomas Albornoz is called upon early to kick the penalty through for the first points of the day.

Things are almost going in Buenos Aires, as both teams have taken the pitch for the national anthems.

Tons of emotion coming from the home team as the Argentinian national anthem was played.

All Blacks' Codie Taylor To Play For 100th Test Cap Today

Ten years after his test debut against Argentina in 2015, Codie Taylor will earn his 100th cap against that same nation this evening in Buenos Aires. It will be the 14th time an All Blacks player has earned the centurion title.

All Blacks head coach Scott Robertson said Taylor "is a great All Black."

"He carries a huge amount of mana in our group, and it’s important we put out a performance that makes him and his whānau proud in his 100th test," Robertson said. "The way he carries himself, and the example he sets, are testament to him as a person, and he will front this week in the same way he has for the past 99 tests."

Ardie Savea is next to pass the triple-digit mark, earning his 99th today.
