Leading 10-0 at halftime, Moana would see its lead cut significantly early in the second half, as the Reds came out swinging.

The incident would see the Reds drop to 14 men for the next 20 minutes, given the experimental laws being trialed in Super Rugby that allow a team to substitute a red-carded player.

Despite being a man down, the Reds scored next to take the first lead of the match, as winger Jordan Petaia showed his athleticism with a sublime finish in the right-hand corner.

This joy was short-lived, as the Reds received a second sending off. This time, star backrow Fraser McReight was caught for a high tackle on William Havili.

This incident proved to be crucial, as the momentum, which previously was with the Reds, swung to the Moana side.

Launching wave after wave of attacks, Moana would be rewarded in the dying seconds of the match, as Havili slid over for the decisive score.

The result now sees both sides sitting with three wins from the opening seven rounds.
