Leinster Rugby has reached two straight Champions Cup finals and both times the Dublin rugby powerhouse, fueled by Irish national team players, were the favorite to win the tournament. 

But both times Leinster ran into La Rochelle in the final and came away the losers. 

This year, Leinster is once again the favorite to win the playoffs and to do so, it must get through the Gallagher Premiership stalwart Leicester Tigers in the Round of 16.

Leinster went 4-0-0 in the most challenging pool of the tournament, Pool 4, and picked up wins over La Rochelle in France, Sale Sharks, Stade Francais Paris and Leicester in England. 

In the January match against Leicester, Leinster led 15-10 at halftime and pulled away in second half to win 27-10.

Leinster, the No. 2 seed, now enters the knockout stage with a 11-0-2 record in URC play, leading the table with 54 points. 

Leicester Tigers, the No. 15 seed, is 8-0-8 in th Gallagher Premiership. They reached the Round of 16 after wins over Stade Francais Paris and the DHL Stormers in England.
