While New Zealand and South Africa will play for the country's fourth Rugby World Cup championship on Oct. 28 in the RWC final, England Rugby and Argentina will have a rematch in the bronze medal game in Paris the night before. 

England beat Argentina in its first 2023 Rugby World Cup match in September during pool play, 27-10. 

Neither team suffered a loss in the group after that match.

Argentina, the Cinderella of the World Cup, reached the semifinals but ran into the buzzsaw that is the All Blacks, being defeated 44-6. 

Meanwhile, England's resurgence over the last two months nearly reached a zenith when the squad was on the cusp of beating South Africa before Handre Pollard, the highest-paid player in the world, kicked the Springboks to the final.

When Is The Next Rugby World Cup?

The Rugby World Cup is played every four years. The next World Cup is in 2027. World Rugby announced on Oct. 24 that the field will expand to 24 teams. 

Where Is 2027 Rugby World Cup?

The 2027 World Cup will be in Australia. It'll be the third time the event has come to Australia --  in 1987, the first World Cup, and then in 2023. In 1987, Australia hosted the event with New Zealand. 

When Is The Rugby World Cup Coming To The United States?

The Rugby World Cup is coming to the United States in 2031. Sites have yet to be announced for the event. 

The U.S. has qualified for seven Rugby World Cups, but not in 2023. They will automatically qualify for the 2031 Rugby World Cup as the host nation.
