2019 Boys HS Rankings
Single-School Top 50 Week 13
Despite the fact that both Xavier and Gonzaga won, we move Jesuit past those two because of the level of opponent. Jesuit beat Granite Bay, a true national HS Club title contender, as if you have #3 from one list beat #2 from the other, then you've got to consider making that winner #1.
We did consider it, and made the move.
East HS out of Utah gets a boost after showing well against Snow Canyon. Dallas Jesuit, we think, is strong than we've had them. Gregory the Great and Lake Travis also get that treatment.
New teams! St. John's beat Belmont HS in Massachusetts and jump in. Louisiana's Brother Martin probably should have been in earlier. Detroit Central Catholic is making great strides (remember Life University standout Benny Mateialona? He's their coach).
Also in Massachusetts, BC High won well over a solid Bishop Hendricken, a team we were thinking to move into the Top 50. Instead, BC High gets a 14-place boost.
The team that is hard-done by at the moment is Eagle HS out of Idaho. They beat Capital HS and Capital gets dumped out of the Top 50. Eagle? Not yet. We'll see.
