Following a potentially season-changing win over Lindenwood a week ago, the Life Running Eagles will host Texas A&M in a non-conference game at Lupo Field in Marietta on Saturday.

The win last week for Life could prove to be a turning point for their fortunes, as they were coming off their first loss in three years when the Arkansas State Red Wolves defeated them 29-22 a week prior. Had they fallen to Lindenwood, we may have seen a new Mid-South champion and possible passing of the torch.

But, as it were, the Running Eagles dug in and completed a double-digit comeback to take down the Lions and now carry heaps of momentum into their meeting with Red River powerhouse Texas A&M. With the win, Life has now put itself back in position to win the Mid-South Conference and claim the #1 seed in the East for the D1A playoffs.

A&M, meanwhile, locked up the Red River South division last weekend with a 90-21 win over the University of Texas and maintained an unbeaten conference record. They will face the North division winners University of Oklahoma in the conference final in March to see who gets the conference's automatic bid to the D1A playoffs.

Life will be expected to win and win comfortably against the Aggies, having beaten them in College Station by a score of 70-3 a year ago. However, Texas A&M can't be overlooked and will be sure to give it a good go on Saturday; the Aggies are always a team that will give maximum effort and you must play well to beat them.

This tester against Life, along with the game they played against BYU at the end of January, will have the Aggies battle-tested before their huge showdown with the Sooners.
