Eight uncapped players have been called into Eddie Jones' England side for the 2020 Six Nations.
"We wanted to bring some young players in because we need to keep building our depth so for those new players it is an exciting opportunity for them," Jones told BBC Sport.
22 players return from the squad that reached the World Cup final in November, with Gloucester wing Ollie Thorley, Northampton lock Alex Moon, Northampton center Fraser Dingwall, and Northampton fullback George Furbank, Bath prop Will Stuart and Bath hooker Tom Dunn, Saracens lock Ben Earl, and Wasps flyhalf Jacob Umaga all joining with hopes to get their debut caps.
Dan Cole, Jack Singleton, Ben Spencer, and Ruardih McConnochie all were not selected, while Billy Vunipola, Joe Cokanasiga, Henry Slade, and Piers Francis are out due to injury.
Mark Wilson and Jack Nowell also are not available through injury.
England begin their Six Nations campaign on February 2 at France.
