What's Happening In Women's D1 College Rugby?

The women's D1 fall season has entered its playoff phase, with 12 teams still in contention for the title. 

Four teams have received byes to the quarterfinals, while the other eight will face off to earn their place as well.

On the west side of the bracket, Air Force is into the quarters after their huge 83-19 victory over Wyoming in the Rocky Mountain final. They'll face Indiana, who swept through Big Ten this season. 


Texas A&M, 25-14 winners over Texas in the Texas Conference championship, will take on Wyoming on November 16th for the right to face Minnesota on November 23rd in the other west quarterfinal. Minnesota ran through the Midwest undefeated this fall. 

On the East side, only Connecticut, Northeast Conference champions after defeating Northeastern 51-5, has a bye to the quarters. On November 23rd, they'll face the November 16th winner between Michigan State, the Big Ten runner-up, and Pittsburgh, the Allegheny Conference champ. 


The last quarterfinal fixture will be on November 23rd between the winners of Davenport vs Northern Iowa (Nov. 16) and Northeastern vs Navy (Nov. 16.) Davenport, Northern Iowa, and Navy are all at-large teams, while Northeastern is the Northeast Conference runner-up. 

The D1 championship will be played on December 8th in Matthews, NC and will be aired on FloRugby.
