HS Single-School SF Halted By Lightning

Play has been suspended at the Boys HS Rugby National Championships due to lightning.

Almost all of the games were played on Day 2, and in fact only one game remains to be completed.

That game is the Single-School semifinal between Gonzaga and Jesuit. That game was halted five minutes into second half, just after Jesuit scored a try to tie the game 12-12.

Teams waited for about an hour before being told that play would not continue.

The reason this game was still ongoing and the games on Field 2 had completed was because the previous single-school semifinal between East HS and Herriman went into overtime and then kicks, adding at least 30 minutes to the game time.

The Gonzaga-Jesuit game will be completed at 10AM LIVE on FloRugby in Field 1.

To accommodate that game concluding on Field 1, some other games have been moved.

The 9:30AM game between United and Aspetuck will now be on Field 2

The 9:30 game between Granite Bay and KC Jr. Blues will be on Field 11, and will not be streamed.
