Top Women's College 7s Talent At Tropical 7s

The Tropical 7s Women’s College bracket may be small, but it packs a punch, as three contenders as the best in the business plus two other talented teams battle it out.

Lindenwood, Life, Army, Guelph, and Stars Rugby all compete in a round-robin that will be LIVE on FloRugby April 19 and 20.

Lindenwood is the defending national collegiate 7s champion, and it’s likely that Life is the Lions’ biggest rival for the title this year. The Lions have 2018 Sorensen Award Winner and capped Eagle Mackenzie Hawkins on the squad, as well as Olympian Richelle Stephens, not to mention spark plug AnnaKaren Pedraza. Life can call on the talents of Sydnee Cervinski, Maria Marin Garcia, and Megan Rom on a roster that is missing some well-known players, but will be tough to deal with nonetheless.

Army, led by Gio Ferguson Lewis and Alex DiMarco know what they’re doing, as well.

Stars is a select side bringing talent in from all over, and will have been honing their game plan as a unit this week.

How not to start with the big news? It is inevitable that I write about my younger brother Santiago signing a two-year contract with Jaguares, the Argentine franchise in Super Rugby.
