Houston Homewreckers

Much of the excitement of the MLR's opening weekend surrounded Austin Elite's new venue at Dell Diamond. The Sabercats spoiled the festivities with the 20-21 narrow victory adding fuel to the budding rivalry.

Toronto's First Try

The inaugural try for the Toronto Arrow's MLR debut goes to the Canadian 7s legend John Moonlight. Moonlight is used to the space of 7s, but on Saturday he wore the 7 jersey for the fifteens squad and made a nice spin move in tight quarters for the try.

The Toulouse Tumble

So two really interesting things happened here. First, Filipo Nakosi chipped the ball, recovered it, and tumbled in for the try as time expired to win the match. Much of the buzz around this play came from Stade Francais fans' criticism of their fly half, Jules Plisson, and his poor defensive effort on the play.

Savvy Southern Kings

A rugby ball is not small and this man is palming it at top speed. This offload looks like it happens in slow-motion because of the pace at which the two Southern Kings are moving.

First Class Fiji

The USA made another cup final, but were no match for this Fiji side or crowd. This is a classic Fiji play with multiple no look offloads in the blindside channel. Tuwai jogging in for a try with a sea of Fiji fans makes for one of those beautiful moments in sports. We'll be seeing these clips for years to come.
