USA Rugby has announced that the USA vs Brazil men's Americas Rugby Championship match originally slated for Houston on February 23 will be moved to Round Rock, TX just outside of Austin.

The move was predicated by the fact that heavy rains delayed construction of Aveva Stadium in Houston, while Dell Diamond, the baseball stadium in the Austin area that has hosted the Eagles before, is ready to go.

Dell Diamond was recently announced as the home venue for the Austin Elite MLR team.

"Bringing an International Test match to the City of Round Rock and Austin is a formidable opportunity for us to showcase to our community our dedication to the sport in Central Texas," said Austin Elite President and Owner, Richard Osborn, "With a world-class venue like Dell Diamond, we believe this eventful weekend of rugby will be an unforgettable experience for all fans."

Osborne continued, "The City of Round Rock and Austin have everything from hotels, restaurants and entertainment to become a great destination for international events like this, get ready for an amazing weekend."

The Eagles beat Brazil 51-3 at Dell Diamond in the 2016 ARC.

Meanwhile, USA fans will be eager to find out how Joe Taufete'e is after his worrying head injury sustained Saturday against Ireland. The game was delayed for several minutes while Taufete'e was attended to by medical staff and eventually carted off.

The USA hooker waved to the crowd as he left.

Taufete'e was taken to a nearby hospital in Dublin. USA Rugby's report "all testing came back negative." That doesn't actually tell us anything, but we're taking that to mean that he did not suffer any serious damage, and can begin the road toward being cleared to play.

Also from USA Rugby: "USA Rugby and the U.S. Men's National Team extend their gratitude to the medical staff who immediately sprung into action to attend to Taufete'e; as well as to the many support staff with the Irish Rugby Football Union."
