Tragedy Strikes As Young Rugby Standout Dies
Alex Rayton, former HS All American, has died.
The University of Arizona rugby program has confirmed that freshman Alex Rayton, a former standout with The Woodlands program in Texas, has died; he was 18.
Rayton, who was a High School All American and all-state rugby player, had been recognized for his academic excellence at Arizona and had pledged a fraternity on campus.
Well respected and well liked, Rayton had enormous potential as a rugby player and as a young man. He will be sorely missed and FloRugby joins his former teammates and opponents in wishing strength to his family at this difficult time.
