Stade coach Heyneke Meyer was without five players called up to their national squads including France center Gael Fickou and Italy number eight Sergio Parisse.

South Africa's Morne Steyn opened the scoring for the visitors with a penalty goal and a drop goal within the opening 10 minutes.

Lionel Beauxis scored two penalties in the only other points of the first half.

Second-half tries from Toby Arnold, Albertus Buckle, a penalty try, Ngatai and Noa Nakaitaci secured a bonus point for Pierre Mignoni's side.

In the final game of the weekend, Racing 92 beat Montpellier at the GGL Stadium by 27-13.

Argentina winger Juan Imhoff crossed twice for the visitors who climb to fifth place in the table.

The home side is without a win in three games across all competitions.

On Saturday, Clermont retained top spot in the table with a 27-27 draw at Grenoble.

Toulouse moved into second place with a five-try 40-0 mauling of Bordeaux-Begles for a fifth successive win in all competitions.

Former All Blacks winger Julian Savea scored his first try for Toulon as they moved out of the relegation zone beating bottom-placed side Perpignan 26-16 at Stade Felix Mayol.

It justified coach Patrice Collazo's decision to switch him from the wing to the center to replace Mathieu Bastareaud who is away on international duty.

Defending champions Castres, crushed 41-6 at Clermont last week, took out their frustrations on Pau with a 37-10 win.

For Pau, it was a fifth defeat of the season and second heaviest after a 48-28 rout at the hands of Racing 92.
