Wing Matt Riotto came to St. Joseph's from Bishop Shanahan, and it's clear his experience playing in the backline for that school has done him some good.

He's a powerful runner and has scored in every game he has played for the Hawks, including three against West Virginia and including this past weekend against Temple.

Riotto, a pharmaceutical marketing major, tested the Temple defense all day, and also rocked some opposing runners back with his tackling.

He scored a key try to maintain control of the game just before halftime.

That game was played in honor of another St. Joe's freshman. Mark Dombroski died while on tour with the team in Bermuda last spring. The game was called the Thumbs Up Cup, designed to raise awareness for the Mark Dombroski Foundation, which provides funding to organizations that support and promote youth education, athletics, safety, and well-being.
