College Standouts Of The Week: 8 Is Lucky
A list of some of the best performances in D1A college this week.

Several No. 8s had big games in D1A college rugby this week, and we recognize a few, but it's kudos all around as props, backs, and players who play anywhere get a nod, too.
Ben McColgan, Wisconsin
McColgan scored 29 points with three tries and seven conversions as the Badgers beat Michigan 76-7.
Elliott Higgins, Air Force
The Zoomie loose forward was the team's spark as Air Force came back from 18-12 down to beat Colorado.
Paul Adams, Marco Carrabotta, and Will Miller, Army
Starting props Adams and Carrabotta, with Miller coming off the bench, helped Army control the scrums and the three also played solid defense all over the field, and carried the ball effectively as Army beat Kutztown.
Neilus Mulvihill, Notre Dame
Notre Dame beat Stanford in a special one-off and Stanford had all sorts of trouble containing Mulvihill, especially when the No. 8 picked up off the base of the scrum. He scored a try that way and broke the gainline on just about every pick, as well as playing strong defense.
William Cusack, SUNY Binghamton
Cusack scored three tries as Binghamton upended SUNY Oswego 61-24.
Tyler Sousley, Indiana
Often shifted around the backline, Sousley was at fullback for IU as the Hoosiers pulled away from a tenacious Purdue. "Wherever he’s played he’s added a spark," said coach Justin Goonan.
Tyler Ringwood, Iona
Iona beat Stony Brook fairly convincingly, and Ringwood scored three tries to pace the Gaels.
Carl Gilles, UMass
Playing excellent defense - in a way coach Phil Ciccarelli called "relentless" - Gilles helped the Minutemen shut down Tufts 57-0.
Bennett Moore, Colgate
The Raiders No. 8 touched down four times as Colgate defeated Brockport.
Anton Lupari, St. Bonaventure
Bonnies ran Wheeling Jesuit ragged in the second half for a 56-19 Rugby east victory, u
