All six teams in the Americas Pacific Challenge have named their squads, and the teams vary greatly in terms of age and experience.

This is a development tournament, and so the teams involved are generally fielding squads of players who aspire to a regular national team place. All of the teams have at least one capped player on the squad, but for several of the teams involved that might be one or two caps, and that's all.

Least experienced and the youngest is Argentina XV, and that's to be expected. With the senior Pumas playing in The Rugby Championship, this is certainly the younger level of player. However, even when you take into account the fact that a non-test Argentina XV plays in the Americas Rugby Championship against full international teams, this is a young group. The Argentina squad, average age 24, has only seven who played in the ARC.

Samoa A's average age is just under 26, and features no players with significant test match experience. Tonga, despite being the third-oldest team in the tournament, is also without any players with more than ten caps. The Uruguay A, which is the second-oldest team in the APC, is also the most experienced, with 17 players earning 29 caps or more, with several in the 40s. This is essentially Uruguay's ARC team.

The USA is the third-youngest at just over 26 years old on average, and features only a couple of players with more than ten caps. Canada, however, has gone a different direction. This is a final chance for Canada to get some game time for players looking to help the team qualify for the Rugby World Cup at the Repechage in November in Monaco. The average age of the Canadian team is 28.12, easily the highest in the APC, and about a third of the team has over 30 caps.
