Navy's shutout of St. Bonaventure was a well-taken victory in the early going in D1A despite the team graduating some serious talent.

And it didn't hurt to get some players to step in to take over. Cody Mendelow and Jermaine Oliver enjoyed solid outings, but FloRugby's Men's College Player Of The Week nod goes to scrumhalf Cole Euvererd.

Coming in as the starting scrumhalf in place of the graduated Gardy Lebon, Euvererd was aggressive and a nuisance on defense.

"We have work to do in our attack, but our main focus has been on defense so to keep St. Bonaventure at zero was pleasing," said head coach Gavin Hickie. "Cole did a superb job at #9 and was probably our best player on the day."

Euvererd also made FloRugby look good, scoring at the end of the game to make it 15-0 - Flo had predicted a 15-point win for Navy.

But the award this week is more for stepping into some big shoes when needed, and doing the job.
