Women's College Player Of The Week: Harvard's Jenny Kronish

Harvard has made a bold statement among the top women's college programs with victories over  Quinnipiac and West Point.

Now atop the National Intercollegiate Rugby Association (NIRA) standings, the Crimson could be thinking championship. Leading the way so far is 6-2 lock forward Jenny Kronish. Our FloRugby Women's College Player Of The Week, Kronish was a disruptive force all over the field Saturday against Army.

She is a powerful runner and also thwarted Army's lineout, and for good measure, kicked three penalties.

It wasn't all Kronish, for sure, but she put in a full day's work and as a tall lock with multiple skills, she is an excellent foundation on which head coach Mel Denham can continue to build her team.

"The squad is really cohesive this year," said Denham. "They support each other and love the game. That’s translated on the field into some high-quality, free-flowing rugby, with continuity and support during phase play, and resulting in some great team tries."

And a pretty good second row forward leading the way.
