The West Coast 7s tournaments are set with the lineup of teams for both the warmup tournament and the finale featuring more than 16 teams for each tournament.

The first tournament will be held at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo on October 6. This tournament will feature two divisions, with the 2nd division being mostly development sides from the 1st division.

The Cal Poly event will include Cal, Arizona, Cal Poly, UCLA, and UC Davis, to name a few.

All of this is a buildup to the 2nd tournament, which will run October 20 and 21 on Treasure Island in San Francisco. That tournament will be shown LIVE on FloRugby, and will include 16 major college teams. 

Here’s the lineup of teams for October 20-21:

Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Cal Poly, UC Santa Cruz, Sacramento State, Santa Clara, Stanford, UC Davis, Southern California, UCLA, University of San Diego, UCSB, Utah, Nevada-Reno.

There is also a spot for teams to play-in during the October 6 tournament.

“We’re going to do both legs of the West Coast 7s this year, and we use all three of the tournaments we play in in order to see everybody play,” said Arizona head coach Sean Duffy. The Wildcats will use some players throughout the fall (including the PAC 7s), Matt Rogers as captain will be one of them, and Ben Scoular will also serve as a key leader. “The West Coast 7s is a really good tournament for us and for us to see some good young players.”
