The British Army bulldozed through the Men's Collegiate All Americans and then Tiger Rugby to take home the $10,000 First Prize and the Cup at the RugbyTown 7s Sunday in Glendale, CO.

Tiger went into the break with a 5-0 lead over British Army, but the Army team rebounded in the second half and scored - with the conversion - to win 7-5.

That followed up on a hard-charging semifinal victory for the British Army over a Men's Collegiate All American team that showed very well, sweeping its four pool games, and winning in the quarters before falling to the more experienced side.

The Ramblin' Jesters also showed very well, winning their pool and the quarters before seeing Tiger come back from 14-7 down to win in the semis. The Jesters are a british Isles-based touring side, but had several players from UCLA on board, as well, and in fact of the top four teams, only the winners did not have a significant US influence.

The All Americans held off the Jesters 24-14 to take third.

Also on Sunday, the US Army, fresh off winning its pool (and therefore the Armed Forces Championship) downed Denver 7s Selects 26-17 behind a forceful performance from recent FloRugby play-by-play man John Cullen. The Dark n Stormy Misfits took the Bowl of Southern California, while the Sacramento Eagles defeated the Washington Athletic Club for the Shield.

This was a stacked lineup of teams, with pro and semi-pro teams from the UK, Ireland, and Fiji. But overall it was the USA teams that came away with hardware.
