You Make The Call - Castres Try Or Not?

Round 1 of the Top 14 was a wild ride, and none more so than the rematch of the 2017-18 final.

Castres took on Montpellier LIVE on FloRugby in a game that was also a clash between last year's playoff winner (Castres), and last year's top team in the standings (Montpellier). Montpellier was looking for revenge for the final, but couldn't achieve it as Castres held on 25-20.

Four times referee Mathieu Reynal went to the Television Match Official to confirm a try - Castres got good news twice, and Montpellier - both times on potential game-tying scores - got bad news. Montpellier, however, could have avoided all that drama had Bismarck Du Plessis not lost the ball as he crossed the tryline.

Meanwhile, Racing 92 defeated Toulon 25-9, and La Rochell edged Grenoble 28-21. Bordeaux-Begles defeated Pau 41-19, and Lyon tied Toulouse 16-16. Also LIVE on FloRugby, Stade Francais unveiled a much-changed squad and slammed Perpignan 46-19, while Clermont defeated Agen 67-23 with Isaia Toeava, Samuel Ezeala, and Alivereti Raka all scoring two tries.
