This season's LIVE coverage of the French Top 14 on FloRugby will include a couple of law variations you won't see outside of France.

The World Rugby Executive Committee has allowed the Fédération Française de Rugby (FFR) to operate a closed law trial in the Top 14 and Pro D2.

The laws trials refer to clarity on substitutions. One will be the use of a Blue Card to signal that a permanent replacement is being made for a suspected concussion.

The second trial will allow up to four tactically-replaced players to re-enter the game for an injured player. This law variation might have made a difference for the USA in the Eagles' win over Scotland, when Will Magie (a back) had to come on for injured forward John Quill.

Did The Ref Get The Subs Question Right?

The FFR will study these laws in detail to see how they affect games, and will share the data with World Rugby.
