Scotland defeated Canada 48-10 Saturday at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, AB to open up its North American tour.

Hooker George Foster came on at 30 minutes for Fraser Brown, and ended up scoring three tries for the Scots. Four other Scotland players scored tries in front of a crowd of over 12,000.

The game was competitive, and sat at 8-3 for Scotland after 20 minutes. But after Canada's Noah Barker got a yellow card for taking a player out without the ball, Scotland started to exert some pressure. 

Flyhalf Ruaridh Jackson's try gave the tourists a little breathing room, and then in the second half, Turner bashed over for his first. Canada replied with a long period of pressure that ended with an intentional kncok-on from Scotland's Jackson, which was adjudged to prevent a try. So, a penalty try for Canada, and a yellow card for Jackson. That made it 22-10, but Scotland had the run of play in the final 20 minutes, with Turner scoring twice and four tries, all converted, in total.

Scotland looks ahead to facing the USA in Houston at BBVA Compass Stadium on June 16. That game will be live on FloRugby.
