The Pro D2 semifinals are set after two exciting quarterfinals.

With Montauban and Peripgnan getting byes to the semis, it was up to four other teams, ranked 3rd through 6th in the standings, to fill out the semifinal spots.

LIVE on FloRugby, Grenoble got a late try from Daniel Kilioni to seal the 33-26 victory and move on.

Meanwhile, Mont-de-Marsan got two quick tries in the second half to lead 25-14, only to see Beziers inch back with three Jerome Porical penalty goals to make it 25-23 with 16 minutes to go.

Mont-de-Marsan was able to close the game out, however, with two Matthew James kicks to win 31-23 and advance.

So the semifinals are set for this coming weekend:

April 28 Grenoble at Montauban

These two teams split their season series, with the home team winning each time. Both games were achingly close, with Montauban holding off Grenoble 25-23 in September, and Grenoble returning the favor 24-21 in February. This meeting promises to be tight, as well.

April 29 Mont-de-Marsan at Perpignan

Despite the fact that Perpignan finished ahead of Mont-de-Marsan in the standings, it is les Montois who hold sway in this series, sweeping both league games this season, and last season. Perpignan hasn't beaten Mont-de-Marsan since August 25, 2016.
