PRP Samurai Player Of The Week: Mark Bowers, Olympic Club
Mark Bowers gets the nod as PRP Player Of The Week in Round 9.
The Olympic Club hung in there and produced an important 38-29 victory over Life West this past Saturday, and right in the middle of it all was Mark Bowers.
Our Samurai Pacific Rugby Premiership Player of the Week is a somewhat underappreciated lock from the OC who does all the unglamorous things well.

"Mark was dominant in the lineout," Olympic Club head coach Ray Lehner said. "He ran down to retrieve kickoffs. He just has a really complete game for a big guy."
That included working the mauls and scrums, clearing out at rucks, and playing tough defense. Bowers also produced some important carries as Olympic Club notched its second win of the season.
"He was our man of the match, and he deserved it," Lehner said.
