The round of 16 matchups for the D1A playoffs have been set after a series of important games were played on Saturday afternoon around the country.

Saint Mary's #1, Cal Poly In, NDC Out

After beating Cal 21-12, Saint Mary's retained its No. 1 seed and will host Cal Poly on April 14. Cal Poly made it into the playoffs thanks in large part to Saturday's 29-22 defeat of San Diego State. That put the Mustangs into second in the California Conference (in a very tight race).

Cal Poly also came in at the No. 16 for another reason. Notre Dame College looked to be set for a playoff spot, but the seedings likely would have had NDC playing at Cal. Despite being a varsity program, NDC is a relatively young program (with a small alumni base) at a small college, and the budget for one more cross-country trip just wasn't there. The Falcons had hoped to play Life—a bus trip for them—but that apparently wasn't in the cards (NDC is not in the bracket at all). That opened the door for Cal Poly.

Texas A&M Wins

Texas A&M scrumhalf Justin Brown and fullback Joe Natenstedt each scored two tries as the defeated Baylor 29-7 to win the Red River on Saturday and garner a home playoff game against Lindenwood. Braeden Hood also touched down for the Aggies.

BYU, Central Washington

While BYU defeated Central Washington on Saturday, the 38-22 scoreline was close enough that voters felt CWU should get a seed. The Wildcats will travel across the country to face Life next week in Marietta, GA.

Also of note, independent teams Navy and Grand Canyon joined BYU and CWU in the bracket. Utah Valley University did not make it after being informed by the D1A leadership that use of ineligible players early in the season would disqualify the Wolverines.

Here is the completed bracket.
