Central Washington is leading the recruiting news, and well it should, as the Wildcats look to build up their program.

Having struggled with the underclassmen and now fielding a fairly young side bolstered by a couple of veterans, CWU will need more depth in the future and that may be why eight players have already committed to play rugby in Ellensburg.

This includes a heavy in-state contingent but also includes Doug Mitchell out of Granite Bay (CA). Not listed in our men's college commits list is lock forward Tommy Clark, who is transferring from AIC to CWU to return to his home state.

Clark isn't the only tight five player CWU head coach Todd Thornley is recruiting. Two props, a hooker, and a lock are also on the list.
