Santa Monica and San Francisco Golden Gate have named their rosters for today's Pacific Rugby Premier Round 2 game.

Both teams come into this game 0-1. Santa Monica lost 41-13 last week to Life West in a game where the Dolphins had plenty of possession, but ran into penalty trouble.

"That was actually a better penalty game for us, but we still have to do better," said flyhalf and likely captain Shawn Lee. Hard-running center Joseph Krassenstein remains a dangerous attacker for Santa Monica, and the lock pairing of Pierre Courpron and Michael Waszkowski provides lineout strength and power in loose play.

SFGG comes off a 30-29 loss to Belmont Shore, a game head coach Neil Foote was philosophical about.

"You want those close games, decided at the last minute," said Foote. "It was good for us, really."

Opeti Okusi starts at flanker - he was off the bench last week - and is a likely pick as captain. SFGG's platform is set by its props Patrick Latu and the new but athletic Nathan Sylvia, who scored an excellent try for SFGG last week.

Much will be expected of the center pairing of Moto and Utesoni Filikitonga.

Kickoff is 1pm, PT at Comet Stadium in Playa Del Rey, CA.
