Can You Make The Rugby-Football Crossover As An All-Star?

English rugby-playing sensation Tyrese Johnson-Fisher is a speedy center/wing who also wants to be a football player, and he's going to get his chance.

Johnson-Fisher has received an invitation to play in the Under Armour All-America football game in Orlando, FL, on Jan. 4, 2018. The rugby player will have the opportunity to be seen as a running back despite not having played football before.

FloRugby Sr. Editor Alex Goff and FloFootball Sr. Editor Kolby Paxton take a closer look at what challenges Johnson-Fisher might face in transitioning between the two sports.

The biggest concerns for Johnson-Fisher? He'll have to get used to using blockers and understanding that a football field is narrower than a rugby field — the cutback could be his best friend. Other considerations for a rugby player include making sure you don't get blindsided even when you don't have the ball and taking care of the ball.

To be sure, both editors are skeptical.
