The USA came back from a 21-15 deficit to score a try just a few minutes before full-time, but couldn't quite pull out a victory over Georgia Saturday in Tbilisi.

The Eagles knew they were in for a tough time, but scored early through a maul that hooker Joe Taufete'e touched down. But after that, Georgia settled down, and exerted the Lelos' superiority in the scrum to force a penalty try that put them up 7-5. 

Up a player due to a yellow card against Georgia, the Eagles capitalized, putting Taufete'e over for him second and a 12-7 lead. Georgia replied, and led 14-12 going into halftime, despite being down a man, the Lelos scored another to lead 21-12 at the break. A breakdown in the USA defense in the lineout opened the door wide open.

It was a rough blow for the Eagles. but in the second half, they shut out Georgia and started to chip away at the lead. AJ MacGinty added a penalty, and then, with about four minutes remaining, Bryce Campbell charged in to the corner to make it 21-20.

MacGinty had a difficult conversion to make, and missed, and Georgia held on. Four of the last five USA v Georgia matches have been decided by less than a try.
