Last week, Clermont nearly erased a 27-point deficit in its opener against Lyon, rallying from 37-10 down before ultimately falling 40-36. ASM scored four tries over the final 17 minutes to earn a defensive bonus point. Stade Français enters Round 2 at 1-0 after surviving a much tighter opener, beating Perpignan 28-26 in Paris.

Clermont keeps Baptiste Jauneau and Harrison Plummer together at scrum-half and fly-half, while Marcos Kremer starts at flanker and Kylan Hamdaoui lines up at fullback.
Stade Français counters with the experienced Tawera Kerr-Barlow and Louis Carbonel at 9 and 10, while Léo Barré starts at fullback. Samuel Ezeala also starts on the wing against his former club.
