One of the closest matchups of Round 3 takes center stage Saturday as No. 7 Argentina hosts No. 5 England in a battle between two teams separated by less than a point in the latest World Rugby rankings. Both nations rebounded from opening-round defeats with impressive victories last weekend, setting the stage for a pivotal Nations Championship showdown in Santiago del Estero.

Argentina returned to winning ways by defeating Wales 35-21 after an entertaining opening loss to Scotland. England also bounced back in emphatic fashion, routing Fiji 73-8 after falling to top-ranked South Africa in Round 1. With both teams sitting on six points in their respective standings, another victory would keep each firmly in contention entering the second half of the tournament.

England has won each of the past five meetings between the nations, including three victories in 2025 and a narrow 26-23 win during the 2023 Rugby World Cup. Argentina will look to snap that streak on home soil, while England aims to continue its recent dominance in one of the weekend's marquee top-10 clashes.
