South Africa Rugby and Scotland have named their lineups for the marquee match of Round 2 in the Nations Championship as two of the world's top five teams square off at Loftus Versfeld. The Springboks opened their campaign with a commanding 45-21 victory over England, while Scotland defeated Argentina 47-38 in one of the highest-scoring matches of the opening weekend.

Saturday's contest carries added significance beyond the tournament standings. South Africa enters the weekend ranked No. 1 in the latest World Rugby rankings, with Scotland sitting No. 5 after another impressive performance under Gregor Townsend. Both teams arrive in strong form, making this one of the most anticipated international fixtures of the summer.

The Springboks have controlled the recent series, winning each of the past three meetings between the nations, including a 32-15 victory last November and an 18-3 result during the 2023 Rugby World Cup. Scotland will look to reverse that trend behind fly-half Finn Russell, while South Africa counters with an experienced lineup featuring Handre Pollard, Damian de Allende, Jesse Kriel and Pieter-Steph du Toit.
