Northampton Saints and Exeter Chiefs punched their tickets to Allianz Stadium after winning dramatically different semifinal contests Saturday, with Saints outlasting Leicester Tigers in a try-filled East Midlands derby before Exeter produced a stunning comeback to eliminate Bath Rugby.

The results set up a championship matchup between the 2024 Premiership champions and a Chiefs side seeking its first league title since 2020. Northampton arrives in the final after one of its best attacking performances of the season, while Exeter enters with momentum following one of the most memorable playoff comebacks in recent Premiership history.
Both teams took very different paths to reach the final, but each delivered a performance worthy of a place on English rugby's biggest stage.
Northampton Saints Defeat Leicester Tigers In East Midlands Derby Classic
Northampton secured its return to the Gallagher PREM Rugby Final with a 45-31 victory over Leicester Tigers in a semifinal that featured 12 combined tries and no shortage of attacking rugby.
The Saints came flying out of the gates and quickly put Leicester under pressure. Center Tom Litchfield was the star of the opening half, crossing for a hat trick as Northampton built an advantage that forced Tigers to play catch-up for much of the afternoon.
George Furbank also delivered a standout performance with two tries, while Henry Pollock continued the impressive run of form that has helped make him one of the breakout stars of the season.
To Leicester's credit, the Tigers never stopped fighting. Handré Pollard helped keep the visitors within striking distance, and Leicester repeatedly threatened to make the contest closer in the second half. Northampton's attack, however, consistently found answers and ultimately proved too much for the Tigers defense.
Exeter Chiefs Rally Past Bath Rugby To Reach Premiership Final
If Northampton advanced through attacking brilliance, Exeter reached the final through resilience.
Bath appeared to have one foot in the championship match after racing to a 26-10 halftime lead behind tries from Beno Obano, Thomas du Toit, Joe Cokanasiga and Henry Arundell. The Premiership leaders controlled much of the opening 40 minutes and looked poised to continue their march toward another trophy.
Instead, Exeter delivered a remarkable response.
The Chiefs completely changed the momentum of the match after halftime, gradually working their way back into the contest while holding Bath scoreless throughout the second half. Ben Hammersley, Greg Fisilau and Ethan Burger all played key roles in the comeback as Exeter erased the deficit and eventually claimed a dramatic 27-26 victory.
Bath mounted one final attack in the closing minutes, but Exeter's defense held firm to preserve one of the biggest playoff victories of the season.
The result also marked another significant milestone for Rob Baxter, who has guided a rebuilt Chiefs squad back to the Premiership final.

The final now features two clubs arriving with confidence but carrying very different identities.
