Racing 92 arrives with momentum of its own.
The Paris-based club finished fifth with 74 points and closed the regular season by defeating league-leading Toulouse 31-20. That result reinforced Racing's status as one of the most dangerous teams in the playoff field.
The two sides met earlier this season on March 28, when Pau claimed a 27-17 victory at Stade du Hameau.
Statistically, the matchup is evenly balanced. Pau scored 817 points during the regular season while Racing finished with 828. Both teams possess explosive attacking talent and enter the weekend believing a semifinal berth is within reach.
Home-field advantage may ultimately prove decisive.
