That run officially came to a close when Saracens' season ended with a 38-17 defeat to Exeter Chiefs, a result that left the club outside the playoffs and brought McCall's final campaign to a close.

Saracens won PREM titles in 2011, 2015, 2016, 2018, 2019 and 2023 while also capturing European titles in 2016, 2017 and 2019. Along the way, the club established itself as the dominant force in English rugby and one of the most feared sides in Europe.
His teams became known for relentless defensive intensity, exceptional squad depth and an ability to peak when trophies were on the line. Saracens regularly produced England internationals and became a destination club for elite talent.
Perhaps most impressively, McCall navigated the club through some of its most turbulent moments. Following relegation after the salary cap scandal, Saracens returned to the PREM and eventually reclaimed the title in 2023, demonstrating the resilience of the culture he had helped create.

What Comes Next For Saracens?
The transition begins immediately.
Brendan Venter, the man who originally brought McCall to Saracens in 2009, is expected to return as director of rugby. He inherits a squad that still includes some of England's most influential players in Maro Itoje, Jamie George and Ben Earl.
There are also reasons for optimism in the club's younger generation. Players such as Noah Caluori, Charlie Bracken and Fergus Burke became increasingly important during the second half of the campaign and offer hope for the future.
But regardless of who ultimately leads Saracens forward, the challenge is immense.

Four Teams Remain In The Hunt For The Title

The winners of the two semifinals will advance to the Gallagher PREM Final at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham.
